Progress in the GPR 2025 Project

Summary of Work on the GPR 2025 Project in 2025

The main measurement phase of the General Traffic Measurement 2025 (GPR 2025) is nearing completion. As part of this stage, one of our key tasks was providing substantive oversight of the measurement process, including effective cooperation with both road administration representatives and the entities performing the measurements.

To efficiently organize the implementation of GPR 2025, our company developed and deployed solutions to optimize the project team’s work time and ensure high data quality, including, among others:

Traffic Measurements in 2025 in numbers

Thanks to the good cooperation of all project participants in 2025, we were able to efficiently organize and conduct:

nearly 15,500 measurements

over 32 measurement days on the national road network

over 11,500 measurements

over 29 measurement days on the provincial road network

In 2026, an additional supplementary measurement is planned on the national road network, covering mainly sections opened to traffic in the second half of 2025 that are significant for the national road system.

What will 2026 bring?

In 2026, our company’s task will be to determine traffic volumes based on the collected and verified data. The most important traffic indicators to be developed include:

  • Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT)
  • Average Daily Traffic on Workdays (ADT‑WD)
  • Summer Average Daily Traffic (SADT)
  • Average Daily / Evening / Night Traffic (ADD / ADE / ADN)
  • Traffic change indicators
  • Sunday and holiday traffic factors
  • Average directional vehicle composition in AADT

The results of GPR 2025 will be made publicly available in the form of descriptive reports, tables, maps, and database summaries. The first publication of results, in the form of a report titled “Synthesis of GPR 2025 Results on National Roads,” is planned after March 31, 2026, while the final document, fully detailing the measurement outcomes — “Traffic in 2025” — is expected to be available in the third or fourth quarter of 2026.
