Dual-track programs in practice – a meeting between students and the business community
On March 18, an event dedicated to the dual degree program in Computer Science was held at the Biała Podlaska Academy in Biała Podlaska, bringing together students, university representatives, and partners collaborating on the program. Among those attending the meeting were Dr. Ewelina Niźnikowska, Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, and Zofia Lubańska, M.Sc. Eng., who serves as the dual studies coordinator. Also present were company representatives, including Aleksandra Antczak from SedKomp and Mateusz Kobryński from Heller Consult Sp. z o.o., who represented our organization. During the event, the companies Interactive and Yarl—partners of the university—were also presented.
The main purpose of the meeting was to introduce students to the opportunities offered by the dual education program. Company representatives highlighted the practical aspect of the program, which allows students to combine their studies with professional work. They also emphasized the opportunity to gain project experience—including participation in international initiatives—and to develop skills essential in the IT industry.
The dual study program allows students to acquire academic knowledge and gain practical experience in a business environment simultaneously, which better prepares graduates for entering the job market.
Students now face crucial decisions regarding choosing an employer and participating in recruitment processes. We wish them the best of luck and a rewarding start to their professional careers.
